Current and transition rules
Batching standards depend on the rules applicable to the open-negotiation period. The 2026 final rule adds new categories and a 50-line limit, but the new definition applies only after the announced implementation trigger.
Document the basis
For every proposed batch, record the party relationship, service code or encounter basis, dates, claim forms, and the regulatory version used.
